Weak Point Specialisation Block
How to bring up a genuinely lagging muscle: raise its volume, cut somewhere else to pay for it, and accept that everything else is on maintenance for ten weeks.

Overview
A specialisation block raises the volume on one or two lagging muscles and cuts it elsewhere to pay for it.
The second half is the part people skip. Adding six sets of shoulder work to a routine you are already barely recovering from does not specialise anything; it just overreaches you. Something has to come down.

A great many perceived weak points are muscles receiving four sets a week while their owner insists they are a hard gainer. Count the sets before you conclude anything.

Maintenance volume is roughly a third to a half of growth volume. You will not lose muscle at 6 to 9 hard sets a week; you simply will not add much either. That is the trade.

Maintenance sessions
Keep everything else at two exercises, three sets each, in the 8 to 12 rep range. Two sessions a week covering upper and lower. That is 6 to 9 sets per muscle, which holds what you have.
Resist the urge to make these sessions bigger. The whole point is that recovery goes to the target muscle.

Can I specialise while cutting?
Poorly. Growth requires energy. If you must, expect to hold rather than gain, and use the block to improve technique and connection instead.
What if the muscle still does not grow?
Check that the volume genuinely arrived, that you are eating enough, and that you can actually feel the muscle working. In that order. Genetics is the last explanation, not the first.
